2nd Brooklin Cubs help the community!

In their quest to earn the Purple Star, the 2nd Brooklin Cubs collected
more than 75 bags of new and used clothing, toys & household goods. They
filled this 12 X 6 X 6 trailer supplied by Endless Ideas Interiors of
Brooklin to help transport the donated items to Denise House, a shelter
for abused women and children in Oshawa.
Thank you to Mastermind Toys, our Brooklin families, friends &
neighbours for their generous support of our efforts.

The Cub and Beaver Pasta Challenge was a great success!

The 2nd Brooklin Cubs and the 3rd year Brooklin Beavers collected a total of 388 bags of pasta and 230 cans/jars of sauce for the Whitby Food Bank in their recent Pasta Challenge. They are grateful to their families, friends, neighbours and colleagues for their generous support of the Pasta Challenge and extend a special thank-you the Winchester and Meadowcrest public schools for their encouragement and assistance. The Cubs and Beavers hope to turn the challenge into a bigger annual event and to invite other Scouting groups in Whitby to join them.

Congratulations to the Cubs for winning "The Bone" at this year's Pow Wow!

The Cubs worked very hard at a rather wet Whitby area Pow Wow this year and brought "The Bone" back to 2nd Brooklin for the first time since 1993! This year, Pow Wow was held at Heber Down Conservation Area. Many thanks to the parent volunteers and to the leaders who also made the event enjoyable for the Cubs.

 Congratulations to all of you on a job well done!
